What Happens During a Session?
The therapy session consists of eight phases. Atlas centering is performed while you remain fully clothed, including wearing your shoes.
1. Introduction to Atlaslogy
A concise and informative presentation provides an introduction to the basic principles of Atlaslogy and the treatment method.
2. Medical History
During the initial consultation, a comprehensive history is taken, including current complaints, medical history, previous illnesses and accidents, social circumstances, and sleeping and eating habits.
During follow-up consultations, your progress is carefully assessed and any changes are documented in detail.
3. Leg Tests
Two leg tests are used to identify indications of atlas misalignment, pelvic tilt and pelvic rotation.
4. Palpation and Location of the Atlas
The position of the atlas is assessed through palpation. By placing the middle fingers on the transverse processes, lateral displacement, rotation and/or tilting of the atlas can be identified.
5. Energetic Adjustment
The central element of Atlaslogy is the so-called “adjustment” of the atlas. Both middle fingers are placed on the lateral transverse processes of the atlas. After a short period of contact, a gentle back-and-forth movement of the atlas can be felt. Following the centering process, the atlas returns to its original position.
6. Assessment of the Result (Leg Test)
Immediately after treatment, another leg test is performed to assess any changes. In most cases, both legs appear to be the same length, indicating that the previous pelvic imbalance has been corrected and that the atlas is centered.
7. Resting Phase
During the resting phase, various processes take place within the body, including the activation of its self-healing abilities. In particular, the atlas and spine begin to find their optimal alignment. You may experience mild tingling sensations in different areas of the body, a gentle feeling of warmth or mild discomfort.
8. Final Check
After the resting phase, a final leg test is performed to check whether the correction has been maintained.
If Required: Jaw Joint and Sphenoid
If necessary, an adjustment of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and sphenoid bone can also be performed.
Please note that no medical diagnoses are made at “Der Atlaslogist” practice. Atlaslogy is not a substitute for medical consultation or treatment and does not make any promises of healing.
